More Than Just Snacks

The snacks you buy have come a long way, from the farm to our factory, to the trucking companies, to warehouses and distributors, and then to stores. We seek to make the world a better place by setting higher standards of transparency, accountability, and performance along that entire chain. We don’t just want to be the best in the world, but to be best for the world. Our B-Corp certification verifies that we do what we say.

Snacking Just Got Real

We decided to take the mystery out of snacking and put the joy back into it! Peeled Snacks started with a line of organic dried fruit that still continues to offer a whole lot of flavor without any added sugar, sulfites, preservatives, or oils.

We’re committed to expanding the snacking aisle to create snacks that make a positive impact on you and the environment. That means each bag of Peeled Snacks is packed with wholesome ingredients you can feel good about eating. Peeled Snacks energize your mind and body, and support the way snacks should be made – with real food!

Using Business as a Force for Good

The snacks you buy have moved along a whole supply-chain from the farm, to our factory, to the trucking companies, to warehouses and distributors, and lastly to the store where you purchase them. We seek to make the world a better place by setting higher standards of transparency, accountability, and performance along that entire chain. In a cluttered marketplace of false advertising and profit-only business practices, we became a B Corporation to be part of the movement to redefine the role of business in our economy. We don’t just want to be the best in the world, but to be best for the world. Our B-Corp certification verifies that we do what we say.

Farm to Snack

An essential ingredient of Peeled Snacks’ ethos is building long-lasting relationships with farms and suppliers. We encourage fair labor policies and sustainable farming practices.

Since the beginning, we’ve worked closely with our Mexican mango farm to establish farm cooperatives and increase organic acreage. We’ve worked hard to create a sustainable farming zone within Mexico’s Western Sinaloa region, creating good jobs and a better environment. In 2010, we supported the implementation of solar panels at the farm, helping to create a more sustainable planet through clean energy. Today the farm now operates more efficiently and continues to increase acres of organic farming soil.

Whether you’re enjoying the tangy mango from Mexico, sweet pineapple from Sri Lanka or our apple clusters from Chile, you’re helping support a system of fair labor and sustainable agriculture. It’s our commitment to only partner with suppliers who are just as committed to supporting and growing our organic farms and upholding the UN Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.

What Is Organic?

Pick your snacks on the facts! The USDA organic seal means all our fruit and ingredients were grown with natural fertilizers, without chemicals or toxins. Peeled Snacks is proud to be part of the organic food revolution, which sets the bar for conscientious farming practices, encouraging clean food production, and supporting healthy communities.

What Is a GMO?

GMOs, or Genetically Modified Organisms, are plants in which their DNA has been artificially modified in a lab through experimental technology. Ouch that hurts.

Why Do They Do It?

Lab engineers produce seeds artificially to resist certain diseases and survive herbicide treatment. It’s like steroid for seeds, but since the genetic modifications are made for the problems caused by the pesticide manufacturers, GMO foods are like the schoolyard bully knocking you out and then charging you for a bandage.

Choose organic! The USDA prohibits the use of GMOs, so anything certified as USDA Organic will also be non-GMO. Or look for the third party non-GMO seal. Our farmers and seeds thank you!
