- Peeled Snacks is proud to donate to the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association for the 2009 Young Hearts Gala held on May 7th, 2009 in New York. The mission of the AHA is to "provide a forum and share information about heart diseases and stroke (the No.1 and 3 killers in our nation respectively) in a social networking setting in order to educate and emphasize the importance of healthy lifestyle behaviors and prevent heart disease and stroke." - Peeled Snacks participated in Common Threads' World Festival of 2009 by attending and donating our organic fruit picks. Common Threads, co-founded by Art Smith, Oprah's former chef, helps to educate children on the importance of nutrition and to encourage cultural diversity through cooking classes and events. Noha Waibsnaider, CEO and Founder of Peeled Snacks spoke on Net Impact’s Issues in Depth Series on the October 13, 2006 event, Edible Goodness: Creating a Social Enterprise Consumer Products Company. - Peeled Snacks is proud to work with The Global Social Venture Competition. Founded in 1999, it is the largest and oldest student-led social enterprise business plan competition. The competition supports the creation of real companies and organizations that bring about positive social change.
Peeled Snacks Founder and CEO, Noha Waibsnaider worked on the GSVC as a student at Columbia Business School. This year, she will serve as a judge at the GSVC Semi-Final judging event on Friday, March 23, 2007.
