Compensation

Salary $30K - $35K, bonus, benefits, and opportunity for stock options.

Accounting Associate Role/Responsibilities

Brooklyn-based Peeled Snacks is a small, but quickly growing company, with just 10 employees. We're looking for someone who is hard-working, extremely detail oriented, numbers-driven and organized. The position reports to the CFO, and will work very closely with her to ensure that the daily operations of the Finance Department run smoothly. Duties include:

• Accounts Receivable: Responsible for all invoicing, credit card processing, remittance, and collections.
• Accounts Payable: Responsible for processing all incoming invoices.
• Monthly Closings: Responsible for compiling data, creating monthly journal entries, and aiding in preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Treasury Functions: Prepare bank deposits, maintain PayPal account.
• Reporting: Responsible for some reporting and analysis.

About You

• You have a bachelor's degree in accounting with a strong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles, and two years of related work experience.
• You are very proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and accounting software such as Quickbooks.
• You are very organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to make quick judgment calls on priorities and multi-task.
• You love being an essential part of a team and rolling up your sleeves to help out where needed.
• You are passionate about food and living a healthy lifestyle.
